About the Role


🚀 Senior Backend Developer

As a Senior Backend Developer at Klearly, you will take the lead in developing and optimizing our payment infrastructure to ensure it is scalable, secure, and reliable. You’ll build and maintain backend systems that enable seamless integrations with payment acquirers and partners, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features that drive our business forward. This role requires deep expertise in backend technologies, payment industry standards, and a strong problem-solving mindset, offering you the opportunity to shape the core technology powering Klearly’s innovative fintech solutions.

What You’ll Do / Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of our backend payment infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Build and maintain systems to support seamless integrations with payment acquirers and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance across all backend systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development with a strong background in payments.
  • Expertise in Node.js, AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, VPC.
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with payment industry standards and technologies like PCI-DSS compliance, BIN routing, transaction ledgers, and SoftPOS is a big plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
